We are the Sir Walter Raleigh Hot Potato Co. We specialise in providing healthy food at events and festivals as an alternative to the usual burgers and chips.

We can do oven baked potatoes and soup. All our food is homemade and we source from local farmers and farmers markets. When in season we use produce from our own organic kitchen garden.

We have a Victorian potato baking oven as shown in the picture and our set up all fits inside a 3 metre gazebo. We carry all the relevant insurances, environmental health requirements etc.

We have had a great summer attending such events as

• Gardening Scotland,
• The Antiques Roadshow at Dumfries House,
• Linlithgow Palace for Historic Scotland
• and many of the highland gatherings and agricultural shows, medieval fayres etc.

The general reaction of people has been really positive, often they go out of their way to let us know they enjoyed their food and how good it is to see something healthy on the menu. Children in particular enjoy watching as we prepare their potato, piling on their filling of choice!

We have become aware of the growing demand for vegetarian food and for this reason all of our soups and about half of our fillings are suitable for vegetarians – because it is all homemade we can reassure people who have special dietary requirements of the ingredients used in the food.
